Estos días Mojo y sus amigos nos enseñan "The power of yet" En este episodio Katie se da cuenta de que puede aprender pidiendo ayuda a sus compañeros. No es que no sepa hacerlo es que aún no lo ha conseguido. Aprendimos que no hay que sentirse mal por no saber algo y que preguntando y esforzándose en aprender ejercitamos nuestro cerebro y nos hacemos más fuertes y poderosos.

En clase era muy frecuente escuchar... "No yo no lo hago porque no sé inglés" Estos días estamos aprendiendo con Mojo y sus amigos los monstruitos a que no es que no sepamos hablar inglés, simplemente es que aún no lo hemos conseguido del todo, hay que seguir entrenando ;)

In 1978, Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck made a profound discovery: children who believed their intelligence could grow did better in school, and better in life. She called this basic belief about intelligence “mindset.”

In 2016, Carol Dweck’s lab at Stanford, PERTS, partnered with ClassDojo to bring this important lesson to classrooms everywhere through a five episode video series.

1º PRIMARIA UNIDAD 5: THE PUPPET BOX

En este  tema estamos aprendiendo las partes del cuerpo:

Estructuras sintácticas: It's got... Count the blocks. How many children have got blonde hair? What colour hair / eyes have you got? I've got red hair and green eyes. 

Léxico: Partes del cuerpo: head, body, arms, legs, hands, feet, fingers, toes; Partes de la cara: hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, face; blonde (clave); Move the legs. That’s easy! That’s impossible! Wait a minute. Don’t be silly! Look at my puppet! What colour is his body? What colour are his hands? Where’s the puppet box? Here it is. Fred makes a fantastic puppet. Clap in (twos). Stretch up high. Touch the sky (receptivo). 

Patrones sonoros: escuchan un chant Kit chant; unas canciones: Fingers, hands, keep moving...; Clap your hands, y una rima de la historia. La pronunciación de los sonidos iniciales: /f/ /n/ /t/ /m/ /n/ /b/.

Funciones comunicativas: descripción de las partes del cuerpo y la cara; descripción física (color de pelo y ojos); instrucciones; expresión de la cantidad.
